Stowers Machinery Headquarters, Renovation & Expansion

Stowers Machinery Corporation is a regional distributor for Caterpillar and allied lines of industrial equipment. Constructed in three phases, this project added 16,000 SF of new building, and renovated several thousand more. An entirely new two-story addition was constructed at the end of the existing facility, with a reorganization of the parking lot and property entrance. The project includes classrooms, offices, and an exterior plaza. Existing brick was matched on the new space and existing metal panels were replaced with new, so that the addition seamlessly integrates with the old. Caterpillar’s signature yellow brings new graphic appeal and branding.


The sprawling complex, which was built before modern building codes were adopted and enforced, encompasses administrative and sales offices, machinery warehousing, and a large mechanical shop. Our renovation added fire separations and ratings in several locations, bringing the facility into compliance, while giving it a refreshing new look.
